How to Apply

ACADEMIC INFORMATION

Admission to Omega College is granted irrespective of race, colour, national or ethnic origins, political affiliations, sex and marital status.  However, admission and enrolment may be terminated by the College when a student’s presence is deemed detrimental to the mission, function and good name of the College.

GENERAL ADMISSION

All persons wishing to enrol at Omega College, including students transferring from other institutions, must meet the general admission requirements of the College. In addition, students must meet the specific matriculation requirements set out for individual programmes of study. Those applicants who do not enter with the specific matriculation requirements or who do not place at College level on the College Entrance Test will be placed in the College Preparation Programme.

ADMISSION TO THE BACHELOR AND ASSOCIATE DEGREE PROGRAMMES

  • All candidates seeking direct admission to Bachelor or Associate degree programmes must satisfy one or more of the criteria listed below:

  • Five Bahamas General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) or five General Certificate of Education (GCE) ordinary level passes, including English Language and Mathematics, with grades of “C” or above.

  • Students presenting the CXC Certificate in General Proficiency with grade 1 or 2 in five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, may be admitted.

  • A minimum combined score of 1000 on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) with at least 500 in Mathematics.

  • Completion of an Associate degree or at least one year of a degree programme at an accredited college or university with a GPA of at least 2.5. Additionally, the student must be in good standing at his previous institution.

  • Candidates who do not fall into one of these categories will be required to make up the deficiencies as determined by the faculty and programme requirements.
