The Associate In Business Administration (ABA)

The Business Department offers Associate degrees in, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Organizational and Human Resources management and Management. All credits earned in the Associate of Business Administration at Omega College can be applied to satisfy those requirements for year one and two of the Bachelor of Business Administration at Omega College. Specific details of the Associate programme can be found in the individual programme booklets produced by the College.


In addition to the major area course requirements, the general education requirements set out above underpin the core learning in this programme. The Humanities foster learning in the development of written and oral communication skills, literature as well as exposure to foreign languages and the arts. The Natural World and Quantitative requirements are channels to the enhancement of critical thinking skills and provide students with the tools and techniques necessary in navigating the scientific and technological world to which they will graduate. The Culture and Society requirement provide an insight into the past and present societies and allow students to have a critical understanding of them through the application of the various methods of social and economic analysis. Philosophy introduces the student to the strategies of argument and reasoning as well as to those techniques used by the great philosophers and thinkers, past and present. The religious studies requirement focuses on religions and the religious experience and promotes a search for the self and man’s relationship with God. All persons wishing to enroll at Omega College, including students transferring from other institutions, must meet the general admission requirements of the College. In addition, students must meet the specific matriculation requirements set out for individual programmes of study. Those applicants who do not enter with the specific matriculation requirements or who do not place at College level on the College Entrance Test will be placed in the College Preparation Programme.
